ER Expansion Update
The Ascension St. Mary’s ER Expansion project is well underway. The $17.6 project was broken up into five phases while transforming the facility into a modern day emergency and level II trauma care center with 24 treatment rooms and two level II trauma rooms.
While construction continues inside the current hospital, the new entrance, waiting room and ambulance bay opened earlier this year.
The state-of-the-art emergency care facility expansion adds 12,600 square feet, renovates existing spaces, increases capacities, improves efficiencies and provides easier access for ambulances, patients and families.
Hats off to our general contractor RC Hendrick and their long-standing relationship with Ascension St. Mary’s. This short video by Luke Hendrick, their project director, provides historical background on building projects dating back to 1947.
